Position Profile:
We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused, detail-oriented, individual who is technically minded and looking to grow with a company. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of REVIT/CAD software, photogrammetry and/or surveying experience. As a Reality Capture Coordinator, you will be on the go, executing our 3D scanning services across Boston’s great architecture and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute scanning projects using Leica (or similar) 3D scanning technology.
- Typical projects include scanning existing conditions of various buildings
- The scope of a typical project includes documenting architectural, structural, and MEP elements for virtual design
- Conduct friendly and professional customer meetings to understand requirements and make appropriate recommendations
- Advise customers on best practices and take all actions possible to maximize productivity and prevent complications
- Work with design team to coordinate alignment of point cloud data to existing models, control points, and survey
- Process point cloud data using Leica Software, 3D modeling and photo editing tools
- Collaborate with local and remote design teams to QAQC Revit models
- Work with the team to implement, review, and recommend changes for onsite scanning, file creation, and model processing based on client needs
- Actively build positive relationships with internal and external customers to improve satisfaction, maximize customer loyalty, and increase profitability
- Manage and schedule all hardware/software updates on company owned scanners and robotic equipment
- US Base travel as necessary
- Other duties as needed/assigned
Requirements and Related Experience:
- Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetry hardware and software
- Experience with 3D modeling software including Revit, Rhino and Sketchup
- Practical experience in architecture, civil/mechanical engineering, survey, or construction
- Related experience in field surveying (a plus but not necessary)
- Outgoing, resourceful customer-focused individual
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good mechanical skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and respond to customers’ needs quickly and effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity or open to learning complex, visual design software
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Comfortable on ladders or in tight spaces
- Able to work weekends and evenings on occasion
- Driver’s License and clean driving record
